Technology Has Made You Illiterate

As you text your friend you try to spell the word "synonyms" but instead of typing it correctly you spell cinnamon's. Autocorrect doesn't pick up on this because you spelled cinnamon correctly but now your sentence doesn't make sense. Although it might sound similar you're comfortability has made you lazy and hoped that autocorrect will do its thing. As sweat runs profusely from your armpits you freeze in fear and google how to spell it.

AutoCorrect is a tool to that catches most common typing errors, it comes in handy and is used on many platforms. You'll realize you made a typing error usually when the word is underlined in red, if not the program will most often correct it automatically for you.

Point of the blog is, learn to spell. If you're the type of person to do what I exampled in the first paragraph, then maybe you have to go back to fifth grade, or just have technology as your crutch.

  1. Anthony, I wonder if at a mall they will ever open a "SynoBuns" shop and how they might taste.

  3. Hi Anthony, Its true that we have forgot most of the spellings by using the Technology. It was said knowledge grows with technology, but in this case technology has made us illiterate.

  4. Both your blog title and the prompt in the first paragraph are great ways for tech users to stay alert of their grammar knowledge. No one wants to get caught not knowing how to spell or use correct grammar, especially in front of others. Sometimes, humility can be a good teacher.

  5. Hey Anthony, I know right! this autocorrect can be a blessing or a curse. Sometimes it turns my message into nonsense especially when I incorporate word from my native language. But other times it saves me from embarrassing typos 😊
